Jez Sweetland is a co-founder and Director of Housing Festival. An innovative systems thinker, he is motivated to enable systems change to achieve better outcomes for people and the planet. In this keynote, he’ll explore how systems thinking innovation is crucial to help address the housing crisis. Drawing on the ecosystem solution outlined in the collaborative Social Rent Housing Playbook, he will set out the opportunities presented by incubating a new supply chain of factory-manufactured homes (MMC), identifying small ‘unloved’ brownfield sites, and recalibrating the economics of housing delivery to help revolutionise the future of housing in the UK. He’ll highlight case studies and real-world examples from his experience, including UNHabitat’s Climate Smart Cities Challenge.
