Matthew Egan was the first person in the world to graduate with a Masters Degree in Offsite Construction. He worked for one of the UK’s most advanced module manufacturers, Corus Living Solutions, a company that manufactured a fully finished module every 80 minutes from an automated production line. It seemed ridiculous to Matthew that since the Mesopotamians used moulds to build bricks over seven millennia ago, literally not much had changed in the way we produce our buildings, so fuelled by a passion to change things for the better he founded Modularize in 2011. Modularize has become one a leading Offsite Construction consultancy with a global client base. Modularize operates its own in-house Architectural practice, a team of DfMA engineers, project managers and manufacturing experts. As a team they have worked on some of most ground-breaking projects reliving offsite.
