Jason Howe
Technical Advisor for Construction, the Built Environment and Green Skills,
City & Guilds
Jason Howe began his construction journey as most others, as an apprentice, honing his skills with a local building company in the picturesque Co. Durham region of Weardale. Specialising in traditional construction techniques, Jason later ventured into entrepreneurship, founding his own Carpentry & Joinery firm. His expertise led him to work with prominent construction companies across the UK, Northern Ireland, and Spain.
In 2008, driven by a passion for education, Jason transitioned into academia as a Construction Assessor, eventually rising to become a respected college lecturer and curriculum manager. With a successful tenure at South West Durham Training, he later returned to Newcastle College as Construction Head of Department.
Jason's contributions extend beyond academia, holding roles in professional bodies like the Institute of Carpenters and the British Association of Construction Heads. Now, as a Technical Advisor for Construction, the Built Environment and Green Skills at City & Guilds, Jason continues to shape the future of the industry.
