The BMF is the only trade association representing merchants and suppliers in the UK and Ireland. Our vision is to enable members to 'build excellence' in the building materials sector. Total membership from 1 July 2024 stands at 980 merchant and supplier companies who together have combined sales of over £48.4bn and employ just over 200,000 people in the building materials industry. The BMF’s 509 merchant members, including 79 from Ireland, make up a total of over 6,400 branches across the UK and Ireland.
