UK CONSTRUCTION WEEK AND PCIAW® TO LAUNCH WORKWEAR & PPE LIVE AT EXCEL LONDON IN MAY 2025
We’re excited to announce the launch of Workwear & PPE Live by PCIAW®, debuting at ExCel London from May 7-9, 2025, as part of UK Construction Week.
For the first time, the event will offer a dedicated showcase for construction clothing, footwear, and accessories, highlighting the crucial role of protective gear in the industry.
This exclusive partnership with the Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW®) marks a significant milestone for UK Construction Week, coinciding with the recently announced co-location of the Natural Stone & Hard Surfaces event.
As the only global, non-profit trade association for the uniform, workwear, and PPE supply chains, PCIAW® connects manufacturers, suppliers, and end-user buyers, offering a collective voice for the industry. Through this partnership, PCIAW® aims to foster education and collaboration on shared challenges in the professional clothing sector.
Workwear & PPE Live 2025 will explore key topics like inclusive PPE design, female-specific fit, the development of sustainable materials, and the latest regulations affecting the workwear industry. Attendees can expect a rich programme of seminar sessions and a unique catwalk show, showcasing innovative solutions to the most pressing issues in workwear procurement.
As part of UK Construction Week, the largest event for the built environment market, Workwear & PPE Live will join other key areas focusing on infrastructure, digital construction, net-zero solutions, and more. This event will appeal not only to those in construction but also to industries that rely on workwear, offering insights into the latest developments in fabrics, designs, and safety standards.
Sam Patel, Divisional Director of UK Construction Week, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:
"We are delighted to partner with PCIAW® to deliver the UK’s premier dedicated workwear and PPE exhibition. This event represents an opportunity for the construction sector and beyond to explore the latest innovations from leading suppliers worldwide."
Yvette Ashby, CEO & Founder of PCIAW®, highlighted the importance of the event:
"This launch comes at a pivotal moment for the professional clothing industry. With incoming legislation and growing social pressures for sustainable and responsible design, Workwear & PPE Live offers a vital platform for buyers to connect with trustworthy suppliers who prioritize safety and sustainability."
With the global industrial workwear and PPE market valued at $100 billion, according to a recent study by Frost & Sullivan, this event aims to address the needs of an essential and rapidly growing industry.
