UK CONSTRUCTION WEEK ANNOUNCES LATEST MEMBER TO JOIN ITS ADVISORY BOARD: ROGER FILE
A hugely experienced Managing Director and Property Director, Roger File has worked extensively across the real estate sector and has been a key member of the leadership team at Blenheim Estate for over 20 years. Currently, he serves as Managing Director (interim) at Pye Homes and Managing Director of the other Blenheim Estate real estate businesses.
With expertise in property investment and portfolio asset management (spanning commercial, residential, and rural domains), development, land promotion, planning, strategy, and all facets of business management, Roger brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. His experience extends deeply into the landed estate sector, as well as heritage and building conservation.
During his tenure at Blenheim Estate Homes, Roger has overseen a variety of residential and commercial developments, including the creation of over 1,000 houses on Blenheim land. For the past five years, he has been a board member of Pye Homes following its acquisition by the Blenheim Estate. Additionally, Roger has led the restructuring and sustained growth of the Blenheim Estate real estate portfolio, transforming it into a diverse and dynamic property company.
Within the construction business, Roger has been a pioneer of sustainable building methods, actively addressing climate change and fuel poverty. He holds a strong interest in advancing the sustainability agenda and exploring how the construction industry can reduce its carbon footprint and recycle buildings effectively.
Academically, Roger is a graduate of Oxford Brookes University, where he earned a BSc in Urban Construction and Real Estate. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Construction and Real Estate from the University of Reading/CEM, along with the RICS Diploma in Project Management. Furthering his education, he has completed studies at London Business School.
Outside of his professional life, Roger enjoys outdoor activities such as canoeing, travel, and cycling, reflecting his appreciation for nature and adventure.
