UK Construction Week Hosts Successful Meet The Buyers Lounge with FindItInBirmingham

UK Construction Week Birmingham (UKCW) proudly partnered with FindItInBirmingham to deliver a highly successful “Meet the Buyer” initiative, reaffirming both organisations' commitment to empowering local businesses, driving social value, and advancing net-zero goals.
The collaboration reflects UKCW's mission to foster meaningful connections within the construction sector. By teaming up with FindItInBirmingham, a trusted and influential platform in the West Midlands, UKCW was able to offer attendees an enhanced experience, providing greater opportunities for networking, visibility, and business growth.
FindItInBirmingham’s decision to collaborate with UKCW stemmed from a long-standing relationship built on trust and proven results. Recognising the immense value that UKCW delivers as the UK’s leading construction event, FindItInBirmingham sought to expand its outreach and provide its network with access to industry-leading insights and key decision-makers.
At the heart of this partnership was the “Meet the Buyer” initiative, designed to offer suppliers direct access to key decision-makers from organisations with established supply chains. Focused on championing local businesses, the initiative aligned with UKCW’s emphasis on sustainability and innovation.
The results were exceptional. Over three days, more than 400 one-on-one sessions were facilitated between buyers and suppliers, with over 20 influential buyers in attendance. The initiative attracted a diverse range of participants, including approximately one-third of businesses new to FindItInBirmingham’s network.
Attendees lauded the event for its organisation and the quality of buyers present. Suppliers praised the efficiency of the meetings, while buyers highlighted the thorough pre-qualification process and the opportunity to engage with high-potential businesses.
Paul Long, Director, Finditin said: “Demand for our business events has really accelerated over the last 12 months as more companies across a range of sectors recognise the commercial and social value of developing local supply chains. The collaboration with UKCW Birmingham was part of our ongoing development of our events offering, ensuring we’ll have a calendar of events taking place across the entire Finditin Network. As per our previous collaborations, it proved to be a great success and we hope to be able to collaborate on new initiatives in the future.”
